A Fresh Chapter for Crowne Plaza Melbourne

Ottie’s marks the final flourish in Crowne Plaza Melbourne’s extensive refurbishment, which kicked off back in 2019. The hotel now boasts 432 newly redesigned guest rooms and suites, alongside updated guest areas, state-of-the-art conference facilities, a chic new bar and café, and an inviting outdoor pool and fitness centre. The opening of Ottie’s ties all these elements together, rounding off the hotel’s transformation with a dining space that’s as versatile as it is sophisticated.

Erkin Aytekin, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Melbourne, sees Ottie’s as a key addition to the hotel’s revitalised offerings. He describes the bistro as a fusion of Australian and European influences, drawing inspiration from the bustling all-day cafés and bistros found in cities around the globe. “At Ottie’s, patrons can experience a culinary journey without leaving Melbourne,” Aytekin notes, highlighting the bistro’s ability to transport guests through its carefully curated menu and atmosphere.

A Menu Crafted with Local Flair

The menu at Ottie’s is the brainchild of Matthew Butcher, the Director of Culinary & Creative Experiences at ETO Collective, the same team behind Ronnie’s at InterContinental Melbourne. Butcher’s menu showcases the finest local Australian ingredients, sourced from esteemed producers like Mt Olive and Gippsland Beef. Each dish reflects a refined versatility that caters to every dining occasion, whether it’s a quick bite or a leisurely dinner.

One of the highlights of Ottie’s is its ‘Specials Du Jour’ menu, which changes weekly to reflect the seasons. Guests can indulge in hearty mains like Hazledene roast chicken from regional Victoria, served with crisp frites and salad, or Otway pork belly, accompanied by roast potatoes, honey carrots, green beans, and pea jus. From Monday to Thursday, these daily specials are paired with a complimentary glass of house wine or beer, all for just $39.00—a tempting offer for those looking to savour quality without breaking the bank.

A Sip of Local Spirits and Wines

Ottie’s fully licensed bar is a focal point of the bistro, offering an extensive selection of beverages with a particular focus on Victoria’s local spirits and wines. The drinks menu features well-known labels like Penfolds, Oakridge, and Yarra Yering, alongside a bespoke cocktail list that includes all the classics, as well as the signature Ottie’s Iced Tea—a refreshing mix of fresh citrus, seasonal fruits, tea, and Grainshaker vodka.

A Welcoming Atmosphere

With its blend of luxury and warmth, Ottie’s provides a welcoming space for both locals and travellers. The bistro can accommodate up to 150 guests, making it an ideal setting for private events and celebrations. Whether you’re planning a casual brunch with friends, a corporate gathering, or a romantic dinner, Ottie’s caters to every occasion with style and grace.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Ottie’s is poised to become a staple in Melbourne’s dynamic dining scene. For more information or to make a reservation, visit Crowne Plaza Melbourne.
