Melbourne Pizza Bar is a super casual, cheap and easy going restaurant located on King Street in Melbourne CBD. Jake’s favourite food is pizza, so we had to try this place out!

This place didn’t seem all that popular, no real branding and not much character at all. The restaurant ambience was boring and stale. Lucky I had Jake with me to make the experience worth while.

Ok, I know this photo looks disgusting. They looked disgusting in real life too, but the chips and gravy were surprisingly tasty.

Onto the pizza, I got the gourmet bolognese. The pizza was a little soggy and the toppings were falling off. Flavour was standard, didn’t really have a “gourmet” or unique taste.

Jake got the classic American pizza. Salami cheese and tomato. It had a good crispiness to it, but there wasn’t enough pizza sauce applied to the base. The pizza was a bit salty too.

In conclusion, Melbourne Pizza Bar sounded like it would serve great pizza in a chilled out environment. The environment was average, and the pizza was a let down. I’m sure you can get better pizza elsewhere.
